The fish passage around Kletzsch Dam on the Milwaukee River in Glendale is now open! Fish such as northern pike and lake sturgeon, and other aquatic species need to be able to swim up the Milwaukee River to access food sources, reproduce and establish healthy, stable populations. At Kletzsch Park, a new 500-foot channel was constructed around the dam on the east side of the river to help them do just that.
