Pierre Francis Koenig (October 17, 1925 – April 4, 2004) was an American architect and a Professor of Architecture at the University of Southern California. He taught at the USC School of Architecture from 1964 until his death in 2004.

Pierre Koenig designed one of the most iconic and photographed houses in the world, the Stahl House (Case Study House #22) in the Hollywood Hills. Yet he and his work went far beyond that single house, helping to define Modern architecture as we know it.

Pierre Koenig, who formed part of the exclusive club of California postwar architects chosen for the program (Richard Neutra, Charles Eames, Raphael Soriano and Craig Ellwood) was in charge of designing Case Study Houses #21 and #22, whose image – that of the latter especially – became a genuine symbol of modernity.
