The Dog Queen is a Xenomorph that appears in the Alien 3 video game released on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. They are essentially a Queen grown from a Runner Alien, looking similar but considerably larger.

Yes you are right. The facehugger that infects the dog (or calf in the assembly cut) is seen to be much larger than the standard one. The Queen has an emergency egg after she detaches from her sack. This Xeno is able to sence and protect the host of the queen, who needs more time to finally hatch. At least that is my interpretation.
