Usha Chilukuri Vance, the wife of Middletown native and Vice President JD Vance, made history Monday. With her husband serving alongside President Donald Trump, Usha Vance became the first Indian American second lady in the White House. She is also the first Hindu second lady.

Sunday, she arrived at a wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Virginia’s Arlington National Cemetery in a white Sergio Hudson coat dress. Later that night, she attended the candlelight dinner, which was held at the National Building Museum in a deep purple Gaurav Gupta gown.
