Parents, students and leaders express concerns at Metro Nashville Public Schools' board meeting just six days after a deadly school shooting.

Middle Tennessee community members told News 2 they have no plans to stop and they will continue to support Antioch High School any way they can.

MNPS said they are aware of some of the concerns about the reunification process last week. They said they are still reviewing what happened, so they can improve and update their safety and response plans.

Police are on the scene at Antioch High School near Nashville after shots were fired in the building on Wednesday.

A 16-year-old female student was killed, another student was wounded, and the shooter—a 17-year-old male student—killed himself, per police.

The Metro Nashville Police Department opted to permanently add a third school resource officer to Antioch High School as students return Tuesday.

Following the deadly shooting at Antioch High School last week, districts across Middle Tennessee have been on high alert when it comes to potential threats.

One 16-year-old girl named Josselin Corea Escalante was killed, and two other students were injured. The injured students were taken to Vanderbilt Pediatrics for medical attention. The shooter shot himself and died from the self-inflicted wound.

MNPD responded to the school where three students were shot, including the suspect, who shot himself, according to police.
