At least three people were killed by historic flash floods in a New Mexico mountain community that suffered devastating wildfires last year, officials said late Tuesday.
Seven-year-old Sebastian Rowan Trotter and his sister Charlotte Emery Trotter, 4, were among the three found dead in the wake of the most devastating flood in Ruidoso’s history.
ABC News has confirmed to ABC-7 the names of the two kids killed by the floods in Ruidoso, including their parents who are injured. Their aunt, Tiffanie Wyatt, told ABC News. According to the aunt, the Fort Bliss soldier is Sebastian Trotter.
Mayor Lynn Crawford said hearts are broken over the lives lost and stomachs are in knots as residents begin to take stock of the damage.
