The Sooners have picked up 14 commitments from the transfer portal thus far, and there are still some areas where reinforcements are needed.

Former Oklahoma State star linebacker/safety Kendal Daniels committed on Monday, he told On3. A former Freshman All-American and Big 12 Defensive Freshman of the Year, Daniels totaled 240 tackles, 7.5 Sacks, 13 pass deflections, five interceptions and two fumble recoveries in three seasons with the Cowboys.

The Sooners brought in the Florida State starter for a campus visit this week, and apparently Jones' visit went extremely well.

Oklahoma will have Robert Spears-Jennings and Peyton Bowen leading the position in 2025. Patterson-McDonald was a part of a 2024 recruiting class that saw the Sooners also bring in Michael Boganowski, Jaydan Hardy, and Reggie Powers III. In the 2025 recruiting class, the Sooners added Omarion Robinson and Marcus Wimberly to their deep safety room.

The Oklahoma Sooners made a splash via the transfer portal when they added former Washington State quarterback and the top player in this year’s portal class, John Mateer. But the Sooners weren’t done at quarterback, adding Western Carolina signal caller Cole Gonzales.

Oklahoma State has picked up a unique offensive weapon in the transfer portal. On Saturday, OSU earned a commitment from Auburn transfer wide receiver Sam Jackson. Jackson entered the portal after only one season at Auburn and has an interesting career path as he enters his fifth season of college football.

The Oklahoma Sooners have experienced significant turnover at the wide receiver position this offseason. They've added four wideouts: Javonnie Gibson, Keontez Lewis, Isaiah Sategna, and Josiah Martin in the transfer portal.
