For those 18 years and older with mild to moderate hearing loss, the AirPods Pro 2 can now serve as a clinical-grade hearing aid. Once enabled, you can also toggle on a “Media Assist” setting that uses your hearing test results to optimize the sound of music, phone calls, and video content.

The hearing aid feature is available with AirPods Pro 2 models, and requires an iPhone or iPad to set it up. It starts with built-in tests that will help users determine if they have hearing loss, set up the feature if they do, and set personalized amplification levels.

The next few years could be a big deal for new Apple releases, according to analyst Ming Chi-Kuo. Writing in a new blog post, Kuo claims that there will be two more Apple products on the way in 2026 — a smart home camera and a more health-centric version of the AirPods.
