NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Metro Nashville Police say a Nashville school crossing guard was nearly hit by a vehicle while assisting with a traffic accident near Chadwell Elementary School in Madison.

A co-worker of Niurka Alfonso-Acevedo found her dead in the parking lot of Chadwell Elementary School the morning of April 14, according to the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department.
