Nagpur: To remove encroachments around the historically significant Futala Lake, the city survey officials of the land records department conducted a measurement survey (mojni) on Monday.

After the construction of a viewers’ gallery and musical fountain, Union minister Nitin Gadkari is pushing for a floating platform, floating restaurant and water sports in Telangkhedi lake.

This came to light when a team of the civic body reached Futala Lake to demolish the restaurant on Monday. A NMC official told TOI, “Copy of stay from district court was handed over to our staffers.
