Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi have welcomed a baby girl—and her name pays tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth II. The Royal Family shared the news on X (formerly Twitter), revealing details about the newborn’s arrival and her special connection to the royal lineage.

The royal became a stepmom when she married Mozzi in July 2020. The pair welcomed their first child, daughter Sienna, in September of the next year.

Athena Elizabeth, who is believed to have been named after the late Queen Elizabeth II, is now 11th in the line of succession to the British throne.
