All 80 people on the flight from Minnesota survived after it skidded along the runway at Toronto Pearson International Airport.

On Monday, a Delta Air Lines flight departing from Minneapolis crashed at Toronto’s Pearson international Airport, flipping upside-down on the runway. According to the Federal Aviation Administration, the flight, DL 4819, was carrying 80 people, all of whom made it out alive.

Update 10:09 a.m. ET Feb. 18: Delta said that 21 people on board the flight were taken to area hospitals and 19 have been released. Initially, it was believed that 18 were transported. The company sent an incident response team to Toronto to help support customers, employees and family members, the company said on X.

Less than two days after Delta Air Lines offered $30,000 to each passenger on board the flight that crashed and flipped in Toronto on Monday afternoon, the company is facing its first two lawsuits in the incident — and they likely won't be the last.

At least two passengers have filed lawsuits against Delta Air Lines this week after 21 people were injured Monday when a plane overturned upon landing at Toronto Pearson International Airport.

Delta Air Lines released new details about the crew aboard flight 4819, operated by its subsidiary Endeavor Air, which crash-landed in Toronto on Monday.

Delta said that claims spreading online alleging the captain and first officer had failed training events were false, and both crew members are Federal Aviation Administration-certified for their positions.
