Lindsey Vonn said she is “good” and has only a few bruises after falling toward the end of a World Cup downhill training run on Thursday. The protective air bag that most downhill skiers wear inflated under Vonn's racing suit to help soften her fall.

Lindsey Vonn, the legendary American alpine skier, experienced a minor fall during training before the World Cup competition in Cortina d'Ampezzo. Fortunately, nothing serious occurred, and the American skier will participate in the event.

The three-time Olympic medallist told the Associated Press Thursday (16 January) that she would not continue in the sport past next February's Games.
