The Minnesota Timberwolves and superstar guard Anthony Edwards were unable to pull off a Game 1 win on the road against the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Western Conference Finals. When all was said and done, the Timberwolves came up short by a final score of 114-88.
The Western Conference finals are a battle of two of the NBA’s brightest young stars. Gilgeous-Alexander’s Thunder routed Edwards’s Timberwolves, 114-88, in Game 1.
But even with the loss, Wolves stars Anthony Edwards and Julius Randle were able to find something to laugh about after the game—though just what they found so funny takes a bit of investigative work.
On one drive early in the game, SGA stayed on the ground for a bit longer to catch his breath (and maybe get a little bit of sympathy from the officials?). But Anthony Edwards had had enough. He hilariously tossed the ball at SGA while he laid on the ground and got a technical foul for it.
