Vandy clawed within a point late in the game, cutting the score to 61-60 with about 5 minutes, 30 seconds remaining.

Dji Bailey slipped a screen he set for LSU men’s basketball teammate Jordan Sears. As Bailey roamed toward the paint, the 5-foot-11 Sears leaped in the air to fling a one-hand pass over his head. The ball was thrown to a space closer to a Missouri player instead of to Bailey who Sears expected to remain above the 3-point arc.
