WPL Season 3 gets underway today with the opening match between defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Gujarat Giants at the Vadodara International Cricket Stadium.

The Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2025 edition is all set to kick off with the opening match between defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Gujarat Giants. Smriti Mandhana's side ended RCB franchise’s long wait for a title by defeating Delhi Capitals by 8 wickets in the final of WPL 2024.

Match No. 1 of WPL 2025, which will be the GG vs RCB clash on Friday in Vadodara, is scheduled to get underway at 7:30 PM IST / 2:00 PM GMT / 7:30 PM LOCAL at the Kotambi Stadium. The toss will take place half an hour before the match.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) defeated Gujarat Giants (GG) by six wickets in the first match of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2025 season on February 14 (Friday) at the Kotambi Stadium, Vadodara.

Despite Gujarat looking set to start with a win, it was another win for an RCB team who were back to business despite injuries. Richa Ghosh was the star with 64*, with Ellyse Perry playing a crucial knock.
