A bevy of playoff bombs have helped these Wellsville and Waterloo seniors climb up Section V softball's career home runs list.

Wellsville's Makenna Dunbar has won four Section V titles a 2024 NYS title. She enters the playoffs with 24 home runs, which ranks top five all-time.

The transition from high school to whatever pseudo-adult period that follows—college, trade school, a gap year, or working—is a time for celebration. But it’s also a time for preparation.
