The San Francisco 49ers signed star field general Brock Purdy to a much-awaited extension just a few days ago that is for five years and is worth $265 million. But despite the big pay day, Purdy celebrated his new contract extension in a way that fans have come to expect from him.

Purdy’s push paid off this week with a five-year contract extension that will pay him an average of $45 million a season once the remaining year of his current deal is taken into account.

Now, the 49ers are in a position with all of their key players extended that they can focus on preparations for the 2025 season when OTAs begin on May 27.
