Herro was tuned in to TNT's Inside The NBA as the All-Star Game reserves were announced, clearly nervous to hear the results. The second that Ernie Johnson said that the final Eastern Conference selection would come from the Miami Heat, however, Herro immediately burst into celebration.

On Thursday, Herro was announced as a selection for the NBA All-Star Game. This season, NBA All-Star Weekend is taking place in Chicago, with the game scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 16. As of Thursday, Herro was averaging 24.1 points on 47.4% shooting to go with 5.6 rebounds and 5.4 assists, all career highs.
Among those Herro beat out were the Hawks’ Trae Young, Hornets’ LaMelo Ball, Bulls’ Zach LaVine and 76ers’ Tyrese Maxey.
