The Chargers will be big spenders in free agency. They’re projected to have $63 million in cap space, and if they make some cuts, they could have more. Pro Football Focus sees Los Angeles using a good chunk of that money to sign wide receiver Tee Higgins, the No. 1 overall free agent this offseason.

Herbert’s offensive line stunk. He was pressured on 52% of his dropbacks, hit nine times and sacked four times. There were eight drops by his receivers, who this season ranked 31st in The League for most flubs. It’s hard to find more than a few people in all three phases who played well.

Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud declined his invite, DJ Bien-Aime of ESPN reports. Broncos quarterback Bo Nix isn’t going because of the transverse process fracture in his back that he played through at the end of the season, Mike Klis of 9News reports.

The fifth-year quarterback put together one of his best seasons as a pro and displayed his toughness at various points.

McConkey rewrote the record books in his first season in powder blue by setting Chargers rookie marks in catches (82) and yards (1,149). He also ended the season with 10 straight games with at least 50 receiving yards, a streak that also set an NFL rookie record he shared with New York's Malik Nabers.

Fortunately, ESPN's Mel Kiper foresees the Chargers getting some help at that spot in the 2025 NFL draft. According to Kiper, the Chargers are projected to select Michigan Wolverines tight end Colston Loveland with the No. 22 pick in the draft this April. Here's what Kiper had to say about the pick:
