Frederic is currently the Bruins' top trade candidate, as he has generated interest and is a pending unrestricted free agent. With Frederic being so ice-cold, The Athletic's Fluto Shinzawa recently reported that the gritty forward's trade value is dropping. This is not ideal for the Bruins if they genuinely want to move him.

The Boston Bruins entered their Jan. 7 matchup with the Edmonton Oilers on a four-game losing streak, getting pretty desperate for their first win of the 2025 calendar year.
