New York Liberty star Sabrina Ionescu had a thoughtful answer when asked about college teammate Satou Sabally's WNBA free agency.
With Alysha Clark becoming an unrestricted free agent this year, the Las Vegas Aces would need somebody to replace her. Alyssa Thomas is a solid option for the 2022 and 2023 WNBA champions. The five-time WNBA All-Star is an upgrade over Clark, but she was cored, which would make negotiations more difficult for the Aces.
The Liberty have a chance to trade for the Wings' Satou Sabally. With her sister Nyara already in New York, they should make it happen.
According to ESPN's Alexa Philippou, Sabally will meet with the Liberty and Mercury in the coming days. New York is the reigning WNBA champion, and she has a couple of connections there. Her younger sister, Nyara Sabally, plays there and was instrumental in their triumph last season.

Unrivaled will crown its first one-on-one champion on Feb. 14. The new 3-on-3 women’s basketball league announced the rules for the tournament that will be played over three days. Thirty players will be divided into four pods with the eventual champion winning $250,
