OTTAWA — Chrystia Freeland is running to be the next leader of the Liberal party and prime minister of Canada. She said in a statement posted on social media Friday morning she will launch her campaign officially on Sunday. “I’m running to fight for Canada,” she said in the one-sentence statement.
