Major League Baseball announced on Sunday the full rosters for the 2025 All-Star Game. This year's Midsummer Classic will be played on Tuesday, July 15 at Truist Park, the regular season home of the Atlanta Braves.

The Guardians’ High-A affiliate, the Lake County Captains, welcomed a new guy to the bullpen Wednesday night. At 6-foot-1 and 202 pounds, he features a mid-90s heater and a wicked sharp slider. And he happens to be 34 years old.

According to the Outs Above Average metric at Baseball Savant and the Fielding Bible’s Defensive Runs Saved stat, Smith ranks second out of all right fielders to in Outs Above Average with four (ranks behind Fernando Tatis Jr.) and second, again, with 9 Defensive Runs Saved (trails only Adolis Garcia ).

And, entering play Tuesday, Padres first baseman Luis Arraez had struck out nine times this season. Nine. It's not like he's missed time with injury either. Arraez has played in 84 of San Diego's 90 games.
