An NCAA investigation found that USC exceeded the allowed number of countable coaches during the 2022 season along with spring practices in 2023.

USC’s football program has been placed on probation for one year after the NCAA and the school came to an agreement that eight of the program’s analysts “impermissibly participated in” on- and off-field coaching activities during the spring and fall of 2022 and the spring of 2023.
