CEDAR FALLS, Iowa --- The new Big Woods Lake Campground isn't scheduled to open until Thursday, but a few campers gave the place an unexpected test run last week.

Hueston Woods State Park Campground has 228 campsites with electrical outlets and 137 non-electric campsites with vault latrines. Each site features a fire ring and picnic table.
