With her New York-based atelier, Patricia Voto is giving a second life to 10 couture pieces spanning the 1920s and '30s.

The second of six sons, Wynton was born into a musical family: his father Ellis was a pianist and music teacher and three of his brothers – Branford, Jason, and Delfeayo – are jazz musicians.

Although Payne no longer plays the piano, he remains "sharp as a tack," and his story continues to inspire those around him.
