As overharvesting and invasive species threaten the coldwater fish, Michigan is proposing first-ever catch limits on burbot.

The type of fishing taking place basically depends on the section of the state. If you're in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, anglers continue to venture out on safe ice and land some nice fish.
