With Super Bowl weekend and a winter storm on the way, grocery stores are packed with shoppers stocking up on party essentials. But how much will your game day snacks cost this year? FOX 5’s Meredith Gorman heads to Stew Leonard’s in Yonkers to check out prices and see what’s flying off the shelves.

But Wells Fargo is out with its annual estimate of the average cost for a Super Bowl party of 10. This year’s tally comes to $139, a 0.1% increase over last year. That’s assuming a menu of traditional favorites, such as chips and salsa, frozen pizza, veggies and dip, wings and drinks.

While Super Bowl party hosts may be feeling the pinch, Meadows says there’s another shopping event right around the corner to keep in mind—Valentine’s Day. Candy prices have risen about 3.7% year-over-year, but since sweets are relatively low-cost items, most consumers won’t feel as much of a financial sting.
