After rumors have been swarming the internet for the past few weeks, Miguel Almirón is set to leave Newcastle United and return to Atlanta United.

Miguel Almirón is returning to Atlanta. Atlanta United announced Thursday the signing of the Paraguayan midfielder after completing a transfer from Newcastle United for an undisclosed fee. Almirón left Atlanta in 2019 to join the Premier League side for a reported $26 million fee, the highest in MLS at the time.

It now looks odds on that the official announcement of his return to Atlanta United, will come on Friday, exactly six years to the day. There has been a lot of talk amongst Newcastle United fans about the imminent departure of Miguel Almiron.
