Kjaer, an animal protection advocate who works in the diamond selling business, beat out Miss Nigeria at the end of 73rd edition of the competition in Mexico City.

The Miss Universe 2024 winner is Victoria Kjaer Theilvig from Denmark. The 21-year-old made history by becoming the first Miss World winner from Denmark.

Many women made history at the 73rd Miss Universe competition on Saturday, including the oldest woman to compete and the first woman to wear a hijab.

Miss Universe is a pageant held annually by the Miss Universe Organization, which celebrates women’s accomplishments across the world. This year’s event is being held in Mexico City, Mexico. Sheynnis Palacios of Nicaragua will crown her successor at the end of the event.
