Pakistan called India's actions “irresponsible" and canceled visas for Indian nationals, suspended all trade with India and closed its airspace to Indian aircraft.

He said India was immediately suspending a six-decade-old river-sharing treaty and closing the two countries’ only land border crossing. He also said India had given Pakistan’s defence attachés a week to leave India and was withdrawing its own defence staff from Pakistan.
