For decades, Lake Malone has drawn a lot of people from Tennessee and other states thanks to its good fishing and recreation.

The Kentucky Department of Parks announced Friday that, due to safety concerns, the state-owned marina at Lake Malone State Park has been closed.

Lake Malone is located near Dunmor and offers hiking, fishing, extensive wildlife, sandstone bluffs, forests, and limited accommodations. For information, call (270) 657-2111.
