T-Mobile Chief Executive Mike Sievert says it’s “nonsense” that the iPhone 16 line’s preorder sales are underwhelming.

As the iPhones went on sale, however, Apple released the first public beta of iOS 18.1, an early version of the software that will bring Apple Intelligence. New customers can get access to those features in an early version by joining Apple’s beta programme and choosing to download that update.

T-Mobile CEO Mike Sievert reported higher iPhone 16 sales in the first week compared to last year, in a CNBC interview. Customers are purchasing more expensive models, including Pros and Maxes. Sievert expressed optimism,
