As the Dragon Bravo Fire approached containment, Grand Canyon National Park unveiled plans to reopen a beloved hotel and hiking trails.

On Friday, Supervisor Angel Barajas, residents and county staff helped open the doors to the 2022 camping season that will be open from April 1 to Oct. 10 with no restrictions.

Wilderness is supposed to be a place for solitude. With a limited number of permits per day, winter won’t be the only time that you can escape the crowds at Canyon Creek Meadows.
