Layshia Clarendon, the WNBA's 1st nonbinary player, announces retirement
History-making WNBA player Layshia Clarendon is hanging up her sneakers. The guard, who most recently played for the Los Angeles Sparks and uses he/she/they pronouns, made history in 2015 when they came out as "non-cisgender" and is credited as the first out trans and nonbinary player in the WNBA.
