Now, all the attention shifts to a new contract for quarterback Brock Purdy. Purdy is expected to get north of $50 million per year whenever his new deal is done, and it should be a matter of time. The big question is how far away are the two sides from putting pen to paper?

The 49ers have some thinking to do. This is the same guy who led them to a Super Bowl in his first season as a full-time starter. San Francisco went 12-5 during the 2023 regular season, and Purdy passed for 4,280 yards and 31 touchdowns.
