LeBron James is making a fashionable entrance into the world of Barbie. On Wednesday, Mattel, the makers of Barbie, in collaboration with the LeBron James Family Foundation, announced that the Los Angeles Lakers star will be the first professional athlete to have a Ken doll released in his likeness.

For decades, Mattel has released dozens of Barbie styles, each with unique looks that have evolved over the years since the first Barbie debuted in March 1959. The company made history in 1980 with the release of the first Black Barbie,

Barbie said the new James doll was made in partnership with the LeBron James Family Foundation, and the toymaker will make a donation to James' nonprofit, which helps students and their families in James' hometown of Akron, Ohio.
