Audrey Powell Brown, Ed.D., who was the first woman superintendent in McHenry County Audrey Powell Brown passed away peacefully with family surrounding her on February 14, 2025, at the age of 89.

The investigation determined that a Cadillac SRX driven by 26-year-old Audrey Powell, a Wamego resident was southbound on K99 Highway and disobeyed the traffic signal at the intersection.
