Arsenal are working on a deal to sign midfielder Sverre Nypan from Rosenborg. Dialogue between the clubs and with the player’s representatives is advancing, as Arsenal try to land the 18-year-old Norway youth international.

Arsenal are leading the race for Rosenborg's Sverre Nypan, with talks about the player having ramped up over the weekend. The 18-year-old attacking midfielder has attracted considerable attention this January, with interest also coming from Aston Villa and the City Football Group through Girona.

Arsenal have been told Sverre Nypan is set to make a decision on his future imminently. The Gunners are among a number of club’s tracking the Rosenborg midfielder and had been confident of signing him ahead of a number of Premier League rivals.
