It happened just before 11 a.m. in the 6800 block of Owensmouth Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

A woman died after her SUV went off the road and hit large, fallen trees, according to Asheville police. Police said this happened Thursday afternoon near the intersection of Eliada Home Road and Wind Ridge Street around 2 p.m.

The driver, about 17, was making a turn when the scooter rider, about 40, hit the pavement and slid under the SUV, police said.

A 32-year-old woman was killed after being ejected from a car during a crash early Sunday morning in the Back of the Yards neighborhood. The crash happened just before 4 a.m. in the 500 block of West Garfield Boulevard.
