Former "Today" anchor Meredith Vieira's husband, journalist Richard Cohen, died on Christmas Eve at 76, the talk show's current hosts said Tuesday.

Richard Cohen, a journalist who was married to former “The View” co-host Meredith Vieira for 38 years, has died after living with multiple sclerosis for decades, it was announced Tuesday on “Today.”

When he was 25, he learned that he had multiple sclerosis. He coped with the disease throughout a long career at several networks, recalled in a best-selling memoir.
