Josh Allen is in a familiar position, and it's not one he hoped to be in coming into Sunday's AFC Championship. The Buffalo Bills quarterback dropped to 0-4 in his playoff career against Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs as his hopes of reaching the Super Bowl have once again come up just short with a 32-29 defeat at Arrowhead Stadium.

All of this was particularly tragic given what Josh Allen appeared to say on camera before the Bills’ offense took the field last time. As the Chiefs took a 32-29 lead, Allen was captured seemingly saying, “I’m ready,” as if he was ready for his moment to take the Bills to the Super Bowl.

The rivalry between the Bills and Chiefs added another thrilling, historic moment on Sunday in its incredible recent history. But for Josh Allen and Buffalo the result was all too familiar: another heartbreaking playoff loss.
