The San Francisco 49ers and Fred Warner agreed to a three-year, $63 million contract extension, which will make Warner the highest-paid linebacker in NFL history, his agency announced.

After locking up star quarterback Brock Purdy with a massive new deal, the San Francisco 49ers rewarded another key player on the other side of the ball.

First, tight end George Kittle received a four-year, $76.4 million extension, then quarterback Brock Purdy got his long-awaited deal in the form of a five-year, $265 million contract.  Now, linebacker Fred Warner has cashed in.
