Minnesota Twins shortstop Carlos Correa was placed on the seven-day concussion injured list Friday, a day after he collided with center fielder Byron Buxton in pursuit of a shallow fly ball.Buxton had entered concussion protocol after Minnesota's 4-0 victory at Baltimore on Thursday and also was held out of the Twins' lineup Friday for the opener of a three-game series at Milwaukee.

The collision happened in the third inning and was with Twins center fielder Byron Buxton. Correa exited the game following the play. Correa is hitting .236/.274/.331 with two home runs and 13 RBIs in 41 games thus far in 2024. He has played the entirety of the season at shortstop and his absence should create a hole in the Twins' infield.
