The Madras High Court today said that the alleged sexual assault case at Anna University is "being politicised".

As part of the ongoing investigation into the sexual assault case involving a 19-year-old student at Anna University in Chennai, a member of the fact-finding team has proposed a series of recommendations to enhance safety measures and improve the handling of sexual assault cases.

The memorandum, submitted by ABVP's national secretary, Shravan P. Raj, highlighted the incident of sexual harassment at Anna University and the law and order situation in Tamil Nadu. It also condemned the arrest of ABVP students who were protesting peacefully and democratically.
