Hello ! I am there as i write this! I would recommend La Habana i stayed in a unit i found on airbnb Highest Floor was its title, it was a studio...small anyways 8th floor looking down on Tamarind market, nice music, American folkish, La Habana is really nice, best pool(s) I've seen in 3 months of traveling well maintained ac gym ...a 3 minute walk to beach....note check tide time online...there is no beach at high tide...there are lots of different options on rentals, Agoda seems to have best prices I am at Chom view now...great beach access, pool and breakfast are sub par...they do have some nice units, for $24 a night no complaints but you might want to stay someplace other than the old building if you want upscale....
