We were recommended this tour and we were not disappointed. It was easy to book tickets for the hour long tour of the building in English. The guide was very knowledgeable and told us all about the h… Full review by Katherine J

The town hall, with its ornate tower and architectural details is a good stop in the center of the city. Inside, I viewed displays of regional projects to improve the environment. The large open squ… Full review by GoAlong2

I only know about the wine village in the summer, the Gourmet week in late dinner and the Christmas market from beginning of December to Christmas taking place on the Rathaus Markt itself
We are coming on 25 November but the main reason for coming was to see the christmas markets which we have now discovered aren't starting until Monday the 27 th, I am so upset to miss this does anyone know if the normal markets in front of the Rauthaus will be on or will they just be setting up for the Xmas markets. any advice would be greatly appreciated,I wouldn't normally do a city break in November because of the weather.

The Christmas markets don't normally open until the first week of Advent, so I'm afraid your visit of Nov 25th is just a little too early. The cabins will all be in place but they'll be setting up, not trading until 27th. The first Hamburg Christmas parade is on Saturday Dec 2nd.The Rathaus itself will be open when you arrive, but tours in English are normally dependent upon numbers, so best ask at the enquiry desk inside. Same dates go for Lubeck and Bremen markets.
