I used to think the NY taxi’s were the most dangerous - now it’s the cyclists who see to think the Greenway is a race track. Aside from that it’s a great stretch and lots to do and see.Full review by StephenCr0ss

I am planning on taking biking trip this weekend on Manhattan Waterfront Greenway, is there a parking place available close to the greenway? I am coming from Westchester.

First you have to decide if you are biking the Greenway tip to tip(north to south) or all around Manhattan. If it is the former, it is ideal to drive to your endpoint then take the subway to the opposite point. If you decide to do the whole 32 miles around you'll park where you start and finish. If you go early enough you might get lucky with street parking near Inwood Hill park if not, there are a couple of parking garages within 2-5 blocks . Same with Battery Park but there are more Icon parking garages around there. Hope this helps. Good luck!!!
Hi I am visiting in October with my wife and 6 year old daughter. We are all fairly proficient cyclists. We would probably want to take an easy pace. Would this be suitable for this group at this time of year? Are there plenty of places to stop for refreshment entertainment. Could we lock our bikes outside in NYC. We would probably spend a few days doing this and may need to get public transport/ taxi home to hotel, which I think will be in Queens. 12 st Thanks for any of your thoughts on this. Tom

This time around I saw prices of around £50/day/ bike Too much for a family of 3. I did not check out the citibike scheme. Perhaps would have been more affordable? Thanks again
