An artist, Leopoldo Flores, designed the massive stained glass mural to fill the window space all the way around the building. The piece was titled Cosmovitral, which is now the name of the building. It combined the Spanish words cosmos and vitral, which means light. It was supposed to show man's relationship to the universe.
